Women’s Bible Studies provide opportunities to grow in Christ, to connect authentically and to serve in love through the study of God’s transforming Word.
We are excited to welcome any woman interested in studying God’s Word! Whether this is your first Bible study or you’ve been studying awhile, you will be encouraged as you study on your own and learn from one another in small groups. Grace’s Women’s Bible Studies are foundational to the activities offered through Women@Grace.

The Bible is full of examples of those who paid attention not only to God’s Word, but also to the people around them. They made themselves available to others to share what they had learned. God calls us to do the same. This inductive study on mentoring looks to the scripture for truth about growing relationships rather than building programs. Looking at both sides of mentoring, the lessons cover a variety of scriptural examples. We will consider not only the benefits of mentoring, but also the importance of safeguarding against potential problems as well. No matter where you are in your journey, there’s always another step to take. To see a sample chapter, click here.
When Jesus came, did people receive Him as the promised Messiah? What did they say about His miracles and His teaching? What caused them to call for His crucifixion? He says He’s coming back. If He came today, would people recognize Him? As you study Matthew Part 2, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the resurrection and its power in your life. Then take up the challenge to share the gospel with others.
*Matthew Part 1 is NOT a prerequisite
The format for both studies includes individual homework, large group fellowship and worship plus small group discussion and prayer.
Influence – Living & Sharing a Life of Wisdom • $25
Matthew Part 2 (Ch 14-28) Precept Method • $25

March 2-4 • Friday through Sunday
God’s holiness includes attributes that we can never be and may even be difficult for our finite minds to grasp. Even approaching God’s holy presence requires us to “take off our sandals” as God commanded Moses. We cannot gaze fully upon Him, and yet He wants us to draw near. He wants to shape our lives to reflect Him.
The apostle Peter encouraged the early church and those coming after, “just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘be Holy because I am Holy’.” (1 Peter 1:15-16). This year’s retreat, Reflecting His Holiness, will include brief teaching from Grace staff, concentrated time in your cabins with your small group, quiet times of contemplation and prayer, and large group worship and celebration. Small group leaders will facilitate discussions and exercises to help us dwell on God’s holiness, position ourselves to hear God, and remember His presence in all we do. We will explore the refreshment of slowing down, anchoring in God’s love, and breaking free from illusions. We want to balance the unique combination of being with God and activity for God. Come join us as we learn to delight in God and allow Him to shape us to reflect His holiness.
Spring is a time for new flowers, new life, and new adventures. Join us as we head to Log Country Cove outside of Burnet for our annual Women’s Retreat. This new location offers an opportunity for us to meet and get to know one another in a deeper way. It also offers a beautiful place to spend time with God. You will stay in a vacation home with 10-20 of your friends or soon-to-be friends. Come and be refreshed!
The format will be different from previous years. On Friday night, you arrive at your cabin to enjoy dinner with your cabin mates. You will have time to get to know one another and to share some rich teaching on the holiness of our awesome and majestic God.
We will meet as a large group on Saturday and Sunday mornings in an outdoor pavilion, just along the edge of beautiful Lake LBJ. Each evening, we will be snug in our cabins with perhaps a warm cup of cocoa or tea, the friendship of wonderful women, and the truth of the Word of God pouring into our minds and hearts.
Of course, on Saturday afternoon, we will have a large block of free time. Delight in the Lord during this free time! Spend time in prayer, enjoy the beauty of creation through a hike, relax with friends, enjoy a long nap, tour the 15 different homes we are using, swim in one of the pools, or soak in a hot tub. Volleyball, yoga, or crafting are just a few of the ways you can spend your time on Saturday afternoon.
Registration is now closed. We are currently working from a wait list. Please contact Margie Coffeen to be added to that list. Please note that all wait-list registrants will be sleeping on alternative bedding (futon or sofa bed). We also may not be able to accommodate your cabin mate requests.
We are working to add additional housing at this time. Once an opening is available, we will contact you as soon as possible.
Please note that registration fees include your LODGING only. Each participant will be contacted by her cabin hostess 2 weeks before the retreat to coordinate the preparation of meals for the cabin. You will be asked to bring simple food to share with your cabin mates for 1 meal.
Invite your friends! Share this page on Facebook, Twitter or any other social destination. You can even send an email to all your friends and family.
