Mark McClain, Moderator
Mark has attended Grace since 1995 and has served as an elder for 11 years.
“My hope and prayer is that we will all become committed followers (disciples) of Christ. Living by faith, loving God passionately, truly loving others and sacrificing our desires to serve them—these are the things that will force people to ask us “why?” My prayer is that our lives will reflect Christ’s character so people who are looking for the Truth will find themselves attracted to Him because they see Him in us.”
Bill Schreyer, Elder
Bill has attended Grace for over 30 years and has served as an elder for nearly a decade.
“My passion for all Christians and Grace Covenant Church is to know the reality of a joy-filled and abundant life realized only through the on-going redeeming grace of God. This, of course, includes the transformation of our minds and character as we apply the truth of the Holy Scriptures. As we live Spirit-directed lives, our Lord is glorified and His presence and work within us is a drawing testimony to those that do not know Christ as Savior and King.”
Dan Walters, Elder
Dan began attending Grace in 2008 and has served for three years as an elder.
“My lifelong quest is to help followers of Christ connect their day-to-day lives with God, especially in their day-to-day work lives. My vision for the people of Grace is that we increasingly align our lives with God. One way this plays out for me is in the Career Solutions Ministry where we not only help people improve their job search skills but also help them move toward better alignment of faith and work. Simply put, that is where the rubber meets the road for me, helping the people of Grace connect their day-to-day work with God’s purposes.”
Fred Friedrich , Elder
Fred began attending Grace in 1989. He rejoined the Elder Board in May 2011 and has also been honored to serve from 2003-2006 and from 1998-2001.
He has a BBA and an MBA from Texas State University and is a licensed CPA in Texas. He has spent over 27 years in higher education and is currently serving universities throughout the country as a consultant via Higher-Ed Solutions, LLC. Fred has been married to his best friend, Gail, for over 25 years, and together they have two sons.
“My vision and passion for all believers, and especially for my brothers and sisters of Grace, to become individuals and a collective body so deeply impacted by His Love & Truth, that we are transformed and can’t help but die to ourselves and live to share the reality of His amazing grace with others.”
Gerald Youngblood , Elder
Gerald has attended Grace since 1989 and has served on the Elder Board for one year.
He graduated from Mississippi State University with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1974. For the past ten years, he has owned a small high tech company, FlexRadio Systems. He is a recovering serial entrepreneur having started a number of businesses during his career. Gerald and his wife, Virginia, have been married for about four decades and have three children and five grandchildren.
“My vision is that we the people of Grace love Jesus in such a way that His Kingdom is established here and now. Jesus told us that the Kingdom is here now. That means that He is King in our homes, marriages, parenting, friendships, ministry, work and leisure. My prayer for Grace is for unity in the church, in the home and with other believers. I pray that we grow together in abandonment to Christ alone.”
Wayne Lott, Elder
Wayne has served on the Elder board previously, from May 2010-2014.
“I am passionate about the people of Grace continuing to advance in their spiritual growth, through God’s transforming spirit, mentoring relationships, and committed service. I hope we are always intentional about encouraging one another to love and good deeds and never get stuck in our ‘comfort zone.'”
