Mission & Vision
At Grace, we believe God’s heart is for lost people. Whether it’s across the street outreach, across the border or across an ocean, we want to equip and empower you to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
If your interest is in serving at Grace or “across the street,” there are a variety of local outreach opportunities in and around Austin with varying degrees of involvement. Currently, we partner with Austin Disaster Relief Network, Austin LifeCare, various adoption & foster care ministries, Mission: Possible!, and many other organizations. Check out the current opportunities below.
Short-Term Ministry Trips
Going on a short-term ministry trip has the potential of impacting the way you look at life. It can affect the way you own things and the way you relate to God and to His body. You will get to meet and interact with our ministry partners in another cultural setting and be exposed to what ministry looks like in their world. God will use these experiences to challenge your world view in a way nothing else can. Our most recent trips have been to Guatemala, Haiti, Reynosa (Mexico), and Zeway (Ethiopia).
Are you attracted to the idea of living in another country? Do you want to explore your spiritual gifts or learn more about cross-cultural missions? Tom Sanchez, Global Outreach Pastor, always has an open door for you to talk about any aspect of global outreach. Please don’t hesitate to contact him.
An A-Team is a group of people who serve as supporters or champions for a particular missionary or missionary family.
Our community ministry partner, Austin Disaster Relief Network, has put a call out for volunteers to help in the clean-up and recovery effort for South Austin flood victims.
Hope in Ethiopia provides for the physical, spiritual, emotional and mental needs of orphan-headed households and for widows who are living with AIDS.
Through this ministry, we want to surround each young adult aging out of the foster care system with 6-8 adults that will meet with them for one year, one hour, every week. They will serve as an encouragement, accountability and support system for this 18 to 21-year-old as they navigate the major transition into adulthood.
Grace currently partners with various local ministries to bring spiritual and physical care to the people of Mukono, Uganda.
Austin LifeCare serves the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of women and families who are facing an unplanned pregnancy.
Mission: Possible! Austin exists to connect the Body of Christ across the greater Austin area with individuals in under-resourced areas for personal transformation through life on life relationships.
If you would like to send light to people in Bukavu, you can “adopt a Bible” by committing to pray for its recipient in the Congo.
Each Thanksgiving, Grace Global Outreach takes a group of families on mission to Reynosa, Mexico to minister to needs, develop relationships, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
