Mission & Vision
At Grace, we believe God’s heart is for lost people. Whether it’s across the street outreach, across the border or across an ocean, we want to equip and empower you to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
If your interest is in serving at Grace or “across the street,” there are a variety of local outreach opportunities in and around Austin with varying degrees of involvement. Currently, we partner with Austin Disaster Relief Network, Austin LifeCare, various adoption & foster care ministries, Mission: Possible!, and many other organizations. Check out the current opportunities below.
Short-Term Ministry Trips
Going on a short-term ministry trip has the potential of impacting the way you look at life. It can affect the way you own things and the way you relate to God and to His body. You will get to meet and interact with our ministry partners in another cultural setting and be exposed to what ministry looks like in their world. God will use these experiences to challenge your world view in a way nothing else can. Our most recent trips have been to Guatemala, Haiti, Reynosa (Mexico), and Zeway (Ethiopia).
Are you attracted to the idea of living in another country? Do you want to explore your spiritual gifts or learn more about cross-cultural missions? Tom Sanchez, Global Outreach Pastor, always has an open door for you to talk about any aspect of global outreach. Please don’t hesitate to contact him.
Through Fostering Futures, Grace seeks to minister to children and young adult in the foster care system in central Texas. One of these ministries is Open Table which is a support ministry for young people who are aging out of the system and need additional guidance. Additionally, we seek to provide support to those who are discerning the foster care and adoption process, those currently fostering or who have adopted, and those caring for the foster care and adoption community.
Each Thanksgiving, Grace Global Outreach takes a group of families on mission to Reynosa, Mexico to minister to needs, develop relationships, and share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
