Woman2Woman isn’t a program OR an event. It’s a ministry effort to inspire and equip women to build relationships with other women that reflects God’s love and matures us. Our vision is to promote a culture where women regularly reach out to one another to give and receive encouragement in life and our walk with Christ. We’ll be sharing testimonies, instruction and tools to help women initiate or go deeper in relationships. Look for resources or invitations to gatherings in the Women@Grace newsletter and on Facebook. You can sign-up for both in the sidebar to the right. If you have an idea, testimony or tool to contribute or a question/comment about Woman2Woman, e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
“I really enjoyed my mentoring experience (with Gerry). I loved that our relationship was built on the foundation of Christ. Our times in the Word and in prayer were so rich that I left each meeting desiring to pursue Jesus even more.”
What is mentoring?
Titus 2 says the role of the older women is to teach and train the younger. What does this mean? “It is role modeling. It is using those ‘been there, done that’ experiences in our lives to help other women through similar circumstances. It is sharing how the Lord helped you through it and offering encouragement and assurance that He is there for the other person, too. Furthermore, mentoring is coming alongside another woman and teaching her to seek God’s Word and the One who has all the answers.” (Janet Thompson, Saddleback Church).
Tenets of Woman2Woman
- Mentoring is a lifestyle not a program.
- God wants to use us as we are…the good, bad and ugly.
- God wants to use us where we are…in our life stage, our neighborhood or workplace.
- God gives us opportunity to mentor in the moment, for a season, for a lifetime.
