Membership is a means of connecting believers into our local congregation. When you choose to become a member, we make a mutual, voluntary commitment to be used by God to minister to each other and through Grace to the city of Austin and the world.
Grace’s Membership Workshop provides an overview of Grace’s history, vision, practices, beliefs and expectations and it also includes time for you to share your faith story.
At the end of the workshop, you’ll be asked to sign Grace’s Doctrinal Statement and Covenant of Fellowship, indicating that you agree with what it says. Members are expected to walk daily in love and obedience to Christ, support the efforts of this local church by giving and participation, and strive to mature in a relationship with Jesus.
How do I become a Member?
- Complete the application prior to the workshop start date. If you have any questions about completing this application, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Participate in a Membership Workshop. We offer both one-day and multi-week workshops. The one-day workshops are Sunday afternoons (1:30-6pm). The multi-week workshops spread out the material over the course of several weeks during one of the worship service hours (9:15am or 11am), and there are Grace Kids and Grace Youth programs during this time for your children.
- Sign the Grace Membership Covenant. You will receive a copy of this during the workshop.
