Dr. Matt Cassidy, Senior Pastor
Matt is our primary Bible teacher on Sunday mornings and is in charge of the leadership and development of our pastoral staff.
He also serves as an elder and has been at Grace since November 1989. He has a Doctorate of Ministry from Talbot Seminary, a Masters of Divinity in Pastoral Studies from the International School of Theology and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas. Matt and his wife, Melinda, have three children.
Ray Anderson, Executive Pastor
Ray oversees the pastoral and support staff for the ministries of Grace.
He aids the staff and Elders in the development and implementation of ministry goals and strategies to improve our ability to minister and serve the people of Grace and the Austin community. Ray is the owner representative for new construction projects at Grace. Ray has been at Grace since 1990 and on staff since 1995. He did his undergraduate work in management at Georgia Tech and served for 17 years on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. Ray did Biblical Studies through the International School of Theology and completed his MA in Adult Education and Human Resources Development at the University of Texas. Ray and his wife, Diana, have four children and are now empty nesters.
Jeremiah Ebeling, Family Life Pastor
Jeremiah desires to help all adults, from college students to parents, walk with Jesus and remain committed to Truth.
He is a proud native of Austin, Texas, and was home-grown right here at Grace Covenant Church. A graduate of California’s Talbot School of Theology with a Master of Divinity degree, Jeremiah did his undergraduate work at Texas A&M University, earning a BA in Business Management. Jeremiah married his post-college sweetheart, Dayna, in 2006, and they have one daughter, Hope, and three sons—Luke and twin boys, Hayden & Taylor.
Mike Gould, Worship Pastor
Mike is responsible for creating the environment for worship on Sunday mornings.
He leads an amazing team of musicians and vocalists each week, drawing the congregation of Grace into powerful worship. He graduated cum laude with a Master of Arts in Religion from Liberty University. Mike is passionate about the church becoming all God has intended it to be. His desire is to see people fall madly in love with the Lord and their fellow man. Mike and his wife, Karin, have four beautiful kids.
Robert Morris, Children’s Pastor
Robert has a passion for seeing the next generation here at Grace transformed by God’s grace through the partnership between church and family.
He is originally from Louisiana where he obtained his bachelor degree in Religious Studies and History at Louisiana College. He then attended Dallas Theological Seminary where he received his masters in Biblical Counseling. He has served at Grace since April 2012. He and his wife, Lauren, have two beautiful children, Nathan and Emily.
John Patterson, Pastor of Missions and Men
John is responsible for leading missions and men’s ministries at Grace.
He is a veteran of the US Navy and a graduate of William Jessup University with a bachelor’s in Bible and theology. John moved to Austin from California in 2005, began attending Grace in 2006 and came on staff in 2010. John is passionate about living a life of faith and encouraging others to do the same. John and his wife, Dawn, have four beautiful children, Mandy, Trent, Loralee and Joseph. Together, John and Dawn, serve in ministries in Ethiopia and Uganda.
Dennis Hickey, Pastor of Adult Discipleship
Dennis is responsible for the Adult Discipleship Ministry at Grace.
He and his wife Carol were both landscape architects who met while completing their degrees at Kansas State University. After practicing for several years, Dennis went on to receive his Masters of Divinity degree from Columbia Biblical Seminary. He and Carol then served as church planters for 20 years in the suburbs of Paris, France, where they helped start and establish a French, evangelical church with World Team. They returned to the US in 2008 where he served as Pastor of Ministry Development at a church in Kansas before coming to Grace in 2013. They have three adult children: Adam, Katherine and Rebecca. He enjoys riding his Vulcan motorcycle, art, films, history, biographies and coffee bars. Dennis’ passion is seeing God’s people growing in their faith in Christ and their love and service for Christ.
Robin Wieber, Pastor of Congregational Care
Robin’s ministry calling is to equip and facilitate care leaders to effectively minister to those in our church and community
dealing with difficult challenges. Robin has been on Staff since July 2000, formerly as Pastor of Worship Ministries. His undergraduate degrees are a Bible diploma from Inland Empire School of the Bible (presently Moody Northwest) and a BA in music from Whitworth College in Spokane, Washington. He earned a Masters of Music degree in Church Music from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and a Masters of Arts in Biblical Studies from Dallas Theological Seminary. Robin enjoys golfing, oil painting, listening to praise, jazz and classical music, and playing the piano and organ. He and his wife, Debbie, have four young adult children: Jordan, Kathleen, Becky and R.J., who is married to Karla.
Kevin Maurice, Youth Pastor
Kevin is responsible for the REACH high school ministry, helping students grow in their faith in Jesus and their relationships with one another.
Kevin is a graduate of the University of Texas where he received his bachelors degree in Religious Studies and Sociology and where he met his beautiful wife, Kate. He then attended Fuller Theological Seminary where he graduated with his Masters of Divinity. Kevin has served here at Grace since 2011 and he loves calling this church and Austin home.
Melissa Eckel, Director of Women’s Ministry
Melissa loves helping women grow in their relationship with God and in freedom to be who He made them to be.
She is originally from Ohio but has been in Austin since 1996. She received her master’s degree in social work at the University of Houston and has been attending Grace since 2002 when she joined the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPs) ministry and re-dedicated her life to Christ. Melissa is married to Preston and has four children, Jackson, Harrison, Georgia and Josie.
Kris Linenberger, Connections Ministry Associate
Kris’ ministry is to create discipleship opportunities by helping others connect within the church body.
He and his wife, Lisa, have been attending Grace since the mid-‘90s and have been members since 2005. He graduated with a master’s degree in social work from Texas State University in 2007 and has been serving in various Grace ministries since 2008. Kris and Lisa have been married since 1997 and have two wonderful daughters.
Marcus Marroquin, Associate Youth Pastor
Marcus and his wife, Hilary, have two children, Mila and Brooks.
Originally from Houston, he made his way to central Texas by attending Texas State University where he studied international business. Upon graduating, he was commissioned in the United States Army and served as an officer in the National Guard. Marcus earned his Master of Divinity degree from Liberty Theological Seminary and has a strong desire to see students and families fall more in love with Jesus.
